I bought some wiper blade inserts for my 06 civic since its been almost 2 years since I bought the car and have yet to change them. I looked at the manual and it had step by step instructions on how to remove the wiper assembly and such but I CAN NOT for the life of me get past the first step. I have to squeeze the middle part and pull it off and I cant seem to squeeze hard enough. I think only one other person on this board has a 06/07 civic that can help but I am just considering taking it to the dealer but only if they will do it for free.

Your local Autozone/Checker will probably change them for you for free.

Could we see a video of this?

On a side note my rear blinker went out today.

I make myself laugh.

forgot about this thread. so i went to my local dealer and my first problem is that the other dealer sold me the blades for a 2door civic coupe so the first thing i had to do was buy them again for the 4door one ($13) and then the guy installed it for me. I told him he can charge me a 15min labor fee but he said its cool. ill probably just give away the 2dr wiper blades to someone who has a coupe since returning things is something i don't really care for.

Double minus mancard points for having the dealer install them for you. As for the coupe blades you can't return them? Seems pretty shitty if they don't take returns.

Damn Ali, even I replace my own wiper blades! And you're talking to the guy who has never lifted a finger to wash or vacuum his 6 month old new car. For 10 bucks a pop at my local full service car wash it's hardly worth my time to do it myself.

I'd learn how to do that shit, man-pride is part of the job discription Ali. I've never been able to justify paying someone to do anything I can do, or learn to do by myself. That's just me though.

PS: sorry if I sound
raggy and grumpy, my health is failing and I'm not in the best of spirits right now.

Na, more like the guy that sold me the wiper blades in the first place (different dealership) didnt realised theirs a difference between the 2door and 4 door civic wiper blades. I guess ill just try and get them exchanged next time i go to that dealership for the right ones for next year.

What the hell, everyone assumes so much. The blades were actually a different size and would not fit, they were too long.
