I'm trying to imagine my parents allowing a girlfriend to move in with me under the age of 18. Hell, even after that! Until I was in my own place paying my own way? No fucking chance. What do your parents say about all this?

My favorite model year"

Say goodbye to our beloved planet. Because there is
alot more money to be made in emitting greenhouse
gasses, than curtailing emissions.

Get out of the box, then recycle it.

You're taking in a chick with a lot of baggage. Sounds like a bad idea.

Right now ive got everything in mind from an 80's civic to a chevy S-10. The civic would not be a bad choice because ive got a motor and transmission from an 85-87 with only about 75,000 miles. Though a small truck would not be bad since I live in the north east and were suppost to get snow..... Plus im always bringing home lawnmower and tractors to work on (Daddy Daddy its a john deere! can I keep him!) LoL
Get an 88-91 Civic. They are probably about the easiest, most straight-forward car you will ever work on. The 92-95's aren't bad either, but I don't know if that's out of your price range(I forgot if you mentioned how much you're trying to spend?)

If you have the need for speed after you learn more about mechanics, you can always pick up a B series or something along those lines for decently cheap and throw it in there. Changing motors on Hondas is about the same "skill level" as changing oil on a BMW.

I've got a Honda, you can't go wrong with one. Especially if you're looking for a low cost, reliable solution.

80s camaros are sweet mullet-mobiles.

I don't think you're going to get yourself into too much trouble with an old 305 car.

It will get horrible mileage, but get yourself a REO Speedwagon T shirt and a jean jacket and you'll have the bitches climbing all over you.

In all seriousness, they aren;'t horrible cars. Not great either. If you can get it cheap, it would be ok to learn to wrench on.
