hint: A bunch of neat cars.

We took delivery of a GT3 RS for some upgrades, and in the car transport I noticed a funny looking Prius.

It was a plugin-hybrid, modified Prius heading to Mountain View. I checked the URL on the back (rechargeit.org) and it was apparently going to Google (see: RechargeIT.org).

Then the driver unloaded the RS, and we went about our day.

An hour later, I noticed a new gunmetal gray Nissan GT-R in front of the shop. I assumed it was one of our customers, as a couple had bought them. I tried to talk to the guy, but apparently it wasn't one of our customers. The car looked awesome, but I didn't grab a picture. It was in and out too quick. Looked like this though...

We decided to have a 996 Turbo shipped with the same carrier that dropped off the orange car, so we called him back.

He drove over from Menlo Park and told us to get on the ramp and see what he had in the truck.

This is actually the second Tesla I've seen in a week, so they must be pumping some out now. I'm going to an EV (electric vehicle) meet tomorrow in Palo Alto so I'll probably see tons of them there.

Look at the funky mirrors:

The turbo's not too bad... 660 horsepower.

Couple more pics of the 996 TT...

I did a lot of work on this car. I installed the corner lights, the license plate frame, and side window stickers. lol.... hey, it's a start. but I did handle a lot of the customer service aspects.

I also got to drive two RSes today, and I spent the last 2 hours installing the straight exhaust pipes on the green GT3 RS. Tomorrow I might drive the 800 HP white Turbo to some meet up...

ive talked to a few people who own one and they say in stop and go city traffic the dual clutch falls on its face and has some very jerky downshifts. the tranny is technically a dual clutch manual that has 2 real clutches operated by servo's controlled by you on the paddle shifters mounted on the steering column. it only has 2 pedals but its NOT an automatic, it does however have an automatic mode. it also has 2 sets of drive modes, 100% rear or 50/50 front rear but never fully front wheel drive.

edit: for got to add. the car is an entirely diffrent story on the race track or a snaky road and let it breathe it goes like hell with a 0-60 time in 3.3 seconds and 11.6 quarter miles topping out at 120 (numbers may vary depending on driver)
