As most of you know my car got totalled (Thread Here) so i needed to buy a new car. I decided on a 2006 Civic LX 4Door. MSRP is $17,860. I got it for $17,060 (no one was giving a good deal on the new civics because they are flying out the door) and ~$18,500 out the door after tax and whatnot. I put $5000 down and my payments are $259 @ 5.66%APR.

My insurance went down from $600 every 6months to $450 because of the ABS and the 6 airbags this thing has.

This car rides really nice, its so much smoother then my corolla and quieter too. The gear shifts are also smooth. This does have a 5speed auto compaired to the 4 speed corolla. Gets 30MPG city and 40MPG highway, thats the same as the corolla execpt the Highway is 2MPG MORE!

The new 2-tier display is not bad, i like the digital speedometer and you dont have to look down to know how fast you are going, you can look straight ahead and see what speed you are going at.

i've seen some of these around, both the 2 and 4 door. they did much nicer this time around than the last model. the look like smaller Acura TL's. i know they did a recall on these for some problem with some of the pedals. did they mention if this fixed already on urs since u just bought it? other than that, it's a sweeeeeeeeeeet ride.

oh ya, i made sure to ask about that. i guess mine was one of the ones that didnt have the problem.

the 2 door looks a little different, mostly the rear of it. the 2door and 4door dont share a single body panel. i wanted to get the 2door, it was even $100 cheaper but I choose the 4door for practicality reasons and because insurance would be lower with a 4door sedan then a 2dr coupe.

I like the styling much better than the old one. Also the 30mogcity is sexy (a tad better than my Prizm's 27-2.
Does it have mp3 player ir the title scrolling is just for show?

ya, it plays MP3/WMA

it can read all the mp3 ID tags like artist/title/album and can even browse between folders. so i just burn cds of each artist and put their whole discography on it separated by folders.
