Well just been out for a test ride on this VFR 400.

This is a proper little pocket rocket but I am unsure of the general rideability and quailty of this bike.
The one I am looking at it much older than the one pictured, it is the 1986 model but is in near perfect condition.

It has been riden by a girl for the last 10 years just to and from work so it has been looked after.

She is asking £1000 (U.K) but is open to offers.

Anybody have any experience with this bike? Any info?

I "experiance" a gag reflex when I see a bike that ugly! :P

Sorry. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm thinking 1000pounds is a little much. No?

A Texan, Visiting Newfoundland, told a local about the size of his ranch. "I can drive my pickup for a day and a night, and still not leave my land."
"Oh yeah," said the Newfie "I used to have a truck like that."

Fair comment, I admit it is not the best looker in the world but from what I hear it is meant to be a scream to ride.

If not this one, any ideas on what else is about? It has to be around the 400cc mark.

Actually no. heh. But I must say from what I've been reading it sounds like a real bullet though, you're right.

Ugh, not a supermoto. I can see the attraction but I would not have one.

Not really my style. I like sports.

I like it. I have an interceptor VFR750 that has 70 000kms on it! It still has good compression and runs very well. Hondas are built very well for those years, as long as she has taken care of it (sounds like it) then everything should be fine.
I would talk her down to like 650 personally, older bikes like that, regardless of the condition, really aren't worth that much.

You are talking GBP right? thats about 2$ cndn per GBP

Yer that sounds about right. I am going offer her £700 GBP this weekend.

Hopfully she'll take it. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well my current bike has just taken a turn for the worst so instead of moving up to a bigger better bike I have to spend my cash on : Re-bore, new poiston, rings, two new tyres and a new rear indicator (some wanker knocked it over )

All well, maybe next month.
