| | Honda CRX problems | permalink #1 |
| Junior Member | Alrite. My name is Jeno. I am pretty big into cars. I have a honda crx that i built a D16z6 motor for. I went with forged pistons and rods the whole 9 yards. I did the build for a turbo setup that i have installed. I ran a stock eclipse 14b turbo on the stock engine for quite sometime. As many people are guilty of wanting to go bigger and better i built the motor. I have a turbonectics t3/t4 57 trim turbo on it now. I ran that turbo on the built motor i had in the car before this one now. I blew that one up and decided to build the same motor just throw a block guard in it to help prevent crackin another other cylinder. Now to cut to the chase. I never had problems on the engine before till i blew it up. With this one though: i built the motor threw it in started it up and the car idled fine. Turned the rpms up a little bit to open the thermostat and bleed the coolant and all was still fine. I got in the car and too it for a drive and when you drive the car it breaks up almost like it is hittin fuel cut. I replaced the tps sensor and it is still doin it. The car is properly tuned for the application so there should be no complication with that. The ECU is throwin a few codes at me the tps, iacv, no. 1 cylinder postion. I checked the wires for the iacv and it is not reading the voltage that it should be. If anyone has any tips or could help me out a little bit please do. Thank you. | |

| Tweak3D Webmaster | This is a pretty general car forum and that's a very specific problem. I think you'd have a lot better luck posting on a site like that mentioned above or clubsi.com | |

| Hood Rich | IAC shouldn't make a difference when the car is moving, no? In my experiences all it causes is a bouncy idle. What do you have for fueling? | |
