Who would buy this stuff? My buddy bought some surplus carbon fiber tape, sheets on a roll and powder really cheap surplus from an aircraft company around here that he works at. He sold two of the rolls to some guy who makes parts for import cars for 1000$ but now he cant find him. This is really high end stuff im sure, should i just start calling around to places that make hoods and stuff?

I'm interested. Do you have some pictures/specs on it? I'm mainly interested in the sheets, but I'd like the specs on the tape as well.

i can get you pictures tomorrow, i believe the rolls the sheets come on are about 3 feet across folded and a foot and a half thick, so were talking alot of stuff

this is what the tape looks like, i can get a picture of the sheets at a later date, but they come in about 50 foot rolls

Carbon Fiber is amazing light, and has a great strength to weight ratio. This stuff is lighter than fiberglass, and much stronger. Really some badass stuff...

Only problem is that it doesn't withstand vibrations or cyclic stress very well. Therefore, it must be fastened securely to some other frame to keep it from flexing and vibrating. Well worth buying if you need to save weight.
