I just received 'em today... Just over $1300 worth of Nitrous Oxide goodies straight from Edelbrock. I got a good deal on them though... They are well over $1500 retail.

It's a Nitrous Oxide setup custom made for Harley Davidson Evolution motors. It is made with a custom carb plate that is used to directly inject the Nitrous into the center of the intake, just downstream of the carb in the intake. It is designed to provide 35hp on a stock HD motor. Of course, we all know my bike is far from stock. I'm interested in seeing the results on my bike. Here are a few more pics:

Bottles (two 12oz bottles, with a tee to connect them)

Show side of control box (to be mounted right next to carb). This contains a fuel pump, Solenoid operated valve for the nitrous, as well as a control module which only allows spray if the engine is running above 4800rpm and the control switch is on. the nitrous is shot using the horn button. When the system is armed, the horn button is temporarily disconnected from the horn, and gives the shot of nitrous.

I'm hoping that this setup will yield ~150hp to the wheel. I should be able to run low 10's to high 9's with this setup, if I set it up right. For those of you who don't know, this is my bike:

It's a 1996 Buell S2-Thunderbolt. It has the following engine mods: Millennium 1250cc big bore kit (cadmium plated pistons/rings/cylindar walls), heads ported/polished, Millennium cam shaft, Supertrap muffler (tuned to carb), Mikuni 40mm Flat Slide carb (rejetted), Forcewinder intake with 4" K&N air filter, full Screaming Eagle ignition setup (module, coil, wires) with rev limiter, 2,5" billet oil cooler, "The Wave" front brake rotor, custom Corbin seat, and Harley Davidson Sportster hand controls. It's fun as shit to ride. Runs like a bat out of Hell, but is still comfortable for every day riding as well as long trips. I love this bike!

I can outrun R1's all day long at the 1/4 mile track. My bike is also much more fun to ride (more broad powerband). In other words, I can just lay into the throttle in 5th gear riding at idle, and pull just as hard as if I downshifted. It's pretty impressive. Also, how many R1's do you see out on the road? How many of these bikes have you seen in your lifetime? There were only 2400 of these bikes made TOTAL over a two year production run by Buell.

Your numbers hold true, but the power bands of those bikes are at very high RPM's, and peak/drop-off very quickly. My bike has an extremely broad powerband. I get my power off of the line and the bike pulls hard all the way to the top. That's how I can outrun some lighter bikes with more power.

you have more power "under the curve" as they call it. something with a broad torque curve is usually more enjoyable than a peaky machine. i don't care much for what i call the "ketchup effect" when you romp on it and get nothing, nothing, nothing, then everything...

I dont know exactly what it was but I saw the sweetest fucking Buell at a gas station about a month ago. I spent about five minutes just staring at it.

Buells are sick, your bike is gonna be manly as shit.

I've had a lot of people admire my bike. It's really fun pulling into a gas station and watching everyone stare at my bike. I was pulling out of a store the other day, and had to stop at a light. I heard a guy and girl (older, maybe mid 30's?) talk about my bike. The girl stopped talking as soon as I pulled up, and said she loved the look and sound of my bike. She then asked the guy what it was. He said it was a Buell, and described them (in good detail, too). He then continued to give details, and realized I could hear him. Then he looked at me, and told me it was one hell of a nice bike, and nodded to me.

It's just fun to stand out beyond every other bike. There is no other bike in the world even remotely similar to my bike. I love that feeling.
