| Tweak Minion | ya so I was driving on I-405 here and there was (evidently) a HUGE bump on the freeway as they are doing construction but there was no bump sign. I thought I noticed my truck feel a little different after that but I couldn't put my finger on it. Well, I've figured it out. Slowly, my rear left suspension is getting lower and lower and now today I noticed my rear right one is getting lower and lower as well. Wtf would cause this? And how much would it cost to fix it? sigh |

| Tweak Minion | ya I was thinking that as well. But I just wonder how I would be able to prove it was caused by them though? They could just shrug it off and say that anything could had caused it and I was just looking for someone else to pay it...we'll see |

| Habitual line stepper | You probably only need new shocks in the rear. I have no idea how much it is, but struts(which are more) cost like 300 each. And you'd need two. |

Just go back to the spot, and take pics if possible. Even if the hole is filled up. | |

| Globe Trekker | I would take pics as Chris suggested, that will definitely solidify your claim. |

| Tweak Minion | I'll do it but there's nothing there to take pics of anymore. very quickly after I went over that bump, they paved it and fixed the bump. Now they have completely fixed it and it's smooth as silk now. The only thing I could take a picture of is the spot where it happened where you see the two "seems" of the roads tie together. |

| Tweak Minion | dunno about suing the city but.... shocks dont hold any weight but just dampen the suspension movement, the springs actually hold the weight, if you have leaf springs in the back of your truck its possible that you may have broke a leaf or two, go under there and see if you see a crack in them, look where most of the stress will be focused, like near the axle or on the ends. if they are cracked, dont drive it, its dangerous, the leaf springs are also what keeps the axle in place, so if they go all together, so does your rear axle, it will be ugly. ![]() |

| Tweak Minion | how much lower is the rear? I have heard of nitrogen shocks lifting a car 1/4" or so. |
