Haha well I thought u guys would get a kick out of this one,

I had a guy bring me a 10 year old craftsman lawn tractor for a tune up and blade service yesterday. I told him the price and explained that the tune up included changing all the filters, replacing and gaping the sparkplug, engine clean and an oil change...as soon as I mentioned oil he said "woah woah wait you don't need to change the oil its not necessary. Then he went into this long thing about how changing your oil was just a gimic by the oil companies to make u buy more oil. So I kinda laughed to my self and said "sure ok the customer is always right" Finished the tune up this morning and started the engine...CLUNK CLUNK BANG BANG BANG BANNNGA BNAGGGG..rrrmmmmmmmmmmm. Its nice to see what 10 year old oil does to your engine internals...I was suprised this thing even ran.

So guys no more changing your oil, its just a gimic!

That clanging noise gives the engine character! What's wrong with pistons swapping holes? Those machine shop guys with their fancy cam journals and boring machines.

Yeah i know right, but he said his tractor before this one lasted only 5 years...and it was a snapper. The poor little snapper... so i doubt he will throw a fit if it dies like tomorrow. Either way he won't get anything out of me since the tuneup only concerns the external parts of the engine and since the oil was not changed the internals were not serviced by me

Ive ran into alot of people that do that with their vehicles. I just do not understand what the fuck they are thinking.
