| Raptor Jesus | Are these things universal? Would I need an adapter kit on a 96 Grand Am? How hard are they to install? Could I do it myself? Also, if someone could point me in the direction of a cheap and reliable deck and head unit, I would appreciate it. Thanks Chris | |

| El Chupacabra | Check Crutchfield, they have all the adapters you need to install. They are overpriced, but it will give you a good idea of what you need. Installing them is a piece of cake. | |

| Vagina Friendly Mayor | Most use some type of adapter to fit your stock harness. Crutchfield will give all the tools and instructions to get it install easily. Usually they're more expensive but the Kenwood I just bought was no cheaper elsewhere...and I got the tools/adapters/instructions. | |

| Habitual line stepper | The best thing to do is find all the wires(12v, grnd, spks, remote, etc) and cut the old harness out and crimp in the new one. If you're any good at it you'll have it done in 10 minutes. The next thing is, you may need a kit($15 at wal-mart) to cover dead space in your console(if your stock one was a biggy). If you already have an aftermarket unit, and are going to another unit of the same brand, it's easy as hell( *<5 minute install). | |
