Hmmm, I was under the impression that Microsoft is losing money with every console they sell and therefore profit from other purchases (ex - games, XBL, accessories). $200 is a big drop, even for the Core SKU. Gotta see it to believe

Isn't the core $300 right now? I'd be willing to bet they'll just drop the core, and lower the price on the 2 others. The hard drive seems too must have now, with arcade and everything

Even if they don't drop the price of the Elite or the standard 360 it's still a steal. If you bought the HDD you'd still be getting a standard 360 for 100 bucks less. I think you can even get the HDD for as low as 60 if you look around.

Goes to show that hardware doesn't mean shit when theres a lack of game developers, or lack of pre-developed games for launch that is.

I soo want a 360, there are some really decent titles for it, which has never really been so with the xbox for example. PS2 totally owned the xbox1, mainly becuase of the number of games, and the quality of the games.
seems as though the tables have turned, for now at least.

They'll probably drop the Core 100 bucks and the Pro 100 bucks, which really isn't a bad idea. If you think Microsoft is losing money now, wait til they lower the prices and sales skyrocket. It'll get rid of a lot of the Shelfwarming 360's already out.
