Which games hold a special place your heart? You all know there's games that you'll never forget.

1) Chrono Trigger -- The best game ever made as far as I'm concerned. Perfect in every way.

2) Ragnarok Online -- I was ADDICTED to this game for 5 years... from early beta right through to pay-to-play. ErrorS introduced me to this one

3) QWTF -- Many late nights playing 2Fort or Well6 in the dark on [*BS*] servers

4) Unreal Tournament -- CTF-Face. Enough said

5) Carmageddon II -- Kangaroo jumps, unlimited people zapper, car sproinger

Earthbound
Goldeneye 64
Powerstone
Shadowrunner Genesis and SNES versions
Resident Evil

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

Final Fantasy VIII

- X-Com
- Street Fighter 2
- Eye of the Beholder (1st game on PC)
- World of Warcraft

To keep this list short i only listed one game per major franchise

1. Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis/Megadrive) - first video game
2. Commander Keen: Goodbye Galaxy (MS-DOS) - favorite childhood pc game.
3. Prince of Persia (MS-DOS) - Another game i liked a lot growing up.
4. Microsoft Flight Simulator (Windows) - My dad bought me "flight simulator for windows 95" for christmas when i was in 4th grade (i think 9 or 10 years old) and it introduced me to the world of avation. Currently i play Flight Simulator X.
5. Doom 2 (MS-DOS) - The first pirated game i ever had - It was on 5 generically labeled floppy diskettes.

Five doesn't seem like enough, but here's the first that came to mind:

1. Adventure (Atari 2600)
2. Super Mario Brothers (NES)
3. Golden Axe (Genesis and arcade)
4. Quake 2 (PC) Half Life (PC)
5. Oblivion (PC)

1: Street fighter alpha 3 (any version on any system, although my favorite version so far is on the psp)! I never get tired of playing this game.

2: Mortal kombat I, this is the game that got me into fighting games! The first time I saw the digitized graphics I was amazed and I was even more blown away when I saw sub zeros fatality! Add to that the nice base sound you got from upper cutting some one, nice! I got a sega cd for this game and I loved the commercial and the music that came on the cd too! In fact I still have some of the songs on my playlist.

3: Super mario 64, not because I loved this game but because I hated it! I bought an N64 and super mario 64 when it came out and played it for a week straight to get all 64 stars and all the other crap only to see the weakest ending ever! I was so pissed that I returned both the game and system.

4: Golden eye, this was probably the only first person multiplayer game I ever loved. It was fun and had many different modes and I never got tired of hiding and sniping people.

5: Final fantasy VII. Sadly this game probably would have gotten me into role playing had it not been for my friend borrowing my memory card and erasing my game (I was mid way through disc 2). I loved the visuals of the spells and I loved the story. I have played one other rpg, chronotrigger, and I did beat it and it was fun but more of a satisfaction thing then an enjoyment thing like with ffVII.

It is actually 120 stars and I got them all because it was the only game I had for the n64 for about 6months. I loved the game but shit, a man can only play the same game so many times.
