...and I don't regret doing it.

This game is fucking dangerous, and evil. I know it's all been said before, but I never believed it. But if you like PC games, do not EVER touch this game. Don't even try it out.

Here I sit, unemployed, feeling shitty that I neglected life, and more importantly my girlfriend, because of some fucking dumb video game.

I'm free.

That is all.

Congrats on realizing that. Hope you get things back together.

I myself just started playing again, but I never had a problem with mmo's. The first time I played it, I played it for two months and quit, just didnt have anyone to play with. This time around, I have more people to play with, but if none of them are online I just dont feel like playing.

Well played. That game breaks social life. I stopped cold turkey at 42. I swear, I had a little bit of withdrawal because i liked it so much and stopped so fast. I WANTED to play it.

Meh I don't know what people seen in that game anyway. I gave it a day and I hated it. Maybe I didn't play long enough (or so I'm told)

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

WoW is the devil. We lost our old drummer to it. He decided that it was more important than practicing.

congrats on quitting man. i can proudly say that i have been clean for over a year

the addicting thing (at least for me) about wow was the community and competition aspect of the game. i didn't have anyone to play with when i started but i met a lot of cool people in game, and actually got to know them (chat, vent) so i cared about showing up for stuff 'cause it felt like i was hanging out with friends. to add to that, who doesn't like to compete with your friends for gear and pvp rank? over all it can be a very dangerous game.

It's one hell of an addicting game, I mean WoW made me quit smoking and now I think WoW is more unhealthy than smoking.

I honestly didnt get remotely addicted to the game...

I play really casually like 4 hours a week. Its really not worth the subscription fees for me.. But my mom pays em.

I'm not into those forms of gaming because of the addiction factors involved.
I've spent most of my life becoming addicted to, addicted to, or recovering from addiction to things. I can imagine lossing your life to the distraction/diversion from reality caused by this form of gaming. For this reason, I stick to single-player FPS, sometimes I even get a bit too involved in them, but not to the point where I'm not taking care of what needs to be taken care of. Good for you, and welcome back to the real world.

Until now, never!before in Earth history, has mass extinction involved a choice.
Ecologically speaking: every single living thing on Earth, has a purpose.............except for man.
Stewardship is not optional.

I last played in november of 05. But I was thinking of rolling a warlock when the expansion comes out. Maybe throw away a few months.

I'm trying to evolve.

My other guitarist has a serious addiction to this game. Granted that it's not as bad as what it used to be, he's still damn addicted. He's become an insomniac while playing this game. He used to sleep 6-8 hours a night, now he stays up until 4-5am, then gets up at 8 to goto school (at least he goes. He used to sit in the dorm and play or just crash because of no energy from staying up all the time, so going to one or two classes out of 6 a week was a norm).

He goes through phases where he doesn't play WoW. He'll play some other games a bit which are less addicting. He'll go back to smoking. Then he'll start WoW, and stop smoking because he doesn't want to take a break from gaming.

It's pretty terrible. Games like this shouldn't exist.

This all reminds me of that episode of Star Trek TNG when they all became addicted to that VR game.

yeah i gave it a test run, but quickly found it as the tool of the devil i did my own personal experiment on who is worse drug addicts or WoW addicts and found the WoW addicts were much worse since the drug addicts actually will comunicate about more than their addiction.
