Well, I picked up my pre-order today from Gamestop.

First impressions:

Great presentation...You start battling within the first 2 minutes. You get to name your character and read a short description on him as well. I'm assuming the same follows with other characters. The graphics are nice but seem a bit soft, texture detail and model sharpness. I'm not sure if that's because of my screen protector or what. The game controls just as all the other classic FF games do. You can even use the stylus when battling, although seasoned FF vets will just stick with the D-Pad. Lots of loot, treasure chests and battles = fun!

I haven't put too much time in but I can feel it's going to be a great title.

Aisen's

Gamercard

How is the music? I'll probably pick this one up fairly quickly although I'm still battling through FF12.

I hope you die

Battle music is pretty snazzy. Haven't had enough time to grasp the world music as I've been moving in and out of dungeon and world map. It's good though.

and very hard! For me at least. That's the only old school FF game that I've had to grind before advancing.

Yeah, that one got really good reviews. I'm a little Mario'd out right now but I loved the original Yoshi's Island. I hope the music is just as good!
