I didnt see a thread on it. But anyways, I attended E3 this week. It was pretty hectic at times, but pretty awesome overall. Got hands on with a number of games, and was surprised by plenty also.

Farcry 2, Warhammer and Fallout 3 were probably the ones I enjoyed most. Oh, and the new Stalker. Holy shit there are some great improvements in there.


If anyone had any questions, I can do my best to answer em. Even if I didnt play everything, I probably saw just about everything in action.

I didn't bother attending this year even though I'm about 15 mins away. I heard the show was pretty tiny this year.. maybe next year they'll bring it back in all of it's glory. Farcry 2 looks hot as hell and i can't wait for Fallout.

I actually didnt get to see HAWX personally as i was busy with an Interview for End War, but Alex (petrag, notd665 or whatever he goes by now) said that the game was phenomenal looking. He said that the camera view was a bit cumbersome with the auto assist stuff on, but the secondary view with the assistance off was amazing. And he also said there was a cockpit view.
I can't comment on the controls, but i've heard good things. And actually, the new COD wasn't even there. Which looking back is kinda surprising.

And neither was Novalogic as far as I recall. I guess thats kind of the problem with the new E3 format. Lots of littler companies got left out.


Oh also, Left 4 Dead. We're gonna need to have some T3D games with that one.

RE5 is pretty fucking slick. If you liked RE4 (which you should have), you're gonna love this one I get the feeling.

And as far as MK vs. DC goes I didnt get to play, but it looked pretty good. Lots of mid air fighting and such. I think it's gonna have a lot of unique little quirks that should make it fun.


And alas, the closest i got to DNF was seeing a car in the parking lot with plates reading "DUUUUKE"

In order,

1. HAWX was fucking slick. The multiplayer is a blast, the graphics are stunning, the controls are incredibly intuitive. Hardcore PC gamers who play combat flight sims will love it but so will shoot 'em up action guys.

2. Darkness 2 really hasn't been officially announced yet, so no.

3. JamesK, you should have!

4. RE5 looked unbelievable, but I hate the Resident Evil control scheme and I found playing to be extremely cumbersome. If the game ships with the traditional RE control system to appease fans and a secondary, "Gears-style" system, Capcom will have a smash hit.

5. Duke Nukem Forever looked orgasmic. We have video to prove it.

Also, believe it or not, trying to launch HD video coverage for the first time, at E3, with three other people you've never worked with before and equipment you've never thoroughly tested is actually not a very good idea...
